Please note this is an Open-Air event in the Tuckwell Amphitheatre, the surrounding site has uneven terrain underfoot with no flat level access to the seating area. Hot and cold drinks, including alcoholic beverages, will be available to purchase along with a selection of snacks, sweets and chocolate. Picnic Hampers Are available to pre-order when you purchase your tickets on our website. Please bring low-backed seating (camping/deck chairs are ideal) and prepare for all weathers. In the event of unsafe weather this event will transfer into the Bacon Theatre.

Tuckwell Open-Air Theatre Festival 2026: A Rockin n Swingin Summer’s Evening with Peter Gill
Once again the Tuckwell Amphitheatre is delighted to welcome the perfect entertainment for an August alfresco evening – Peter Gill and his band The Good Time Charlies with their ever popular Rockin’ n Swingin’ Summer’s Evening.
Originally hailing from Cheltenham, boogie woogie, swing and rock n roll pianist and vocalist Peter Gill and his band will perform their usual eclectic mix of boogie woogie, rock ‘n’ roll, blues and cool swing standards such as ‘Mack The Knife’, ‘Hit The Road Jack’, ‘Bad Bad Leroy Brown’, ‘Shake, Rattle and Roll’, ‘Twisting The Night Away’, ‘Rock Around The Clock’, ‘Mr Bojangles’, ‘Down The Road Apiece’ and many more.
This is an evening of sublime musical entertainment interlaced with Peter’s friendly and witty banter, and this year he will be bringing with him some special musical friends to enhance your enjoyment.
