Would you believe it? Cheltenham’s Open-air Theatre Festival has been selected by the Daily Telegraph (2013) as one of the UK’s best 20 open-air venues for theatre and film over the summer!

Maybe you’re not surprised, but we are.  Big name venues like The Minack Theatre in Cornwall and the outdoor theatre giant at Regent’s Park are also on the list, as well as Shakespeare’s Globe and Somerset House in London.

The stonebuilt Tuckwell Amphitheatre, tucked in a secluded corner of Dean Close School, really is a hidden treasure. We’ve been saying this for years, but it feels pretty good to have this confirmed in the National Press.

Head on over to our open-air theatre what’s on page to select a treat from this year’s festival line-up, starting in less than a week!
